Meaningful work.Individualized support.Lasting impact.
At Beyond Meals, we support adults living with mental health challenges who are seeking meaningful opportunities to rebuild confidence, develop skills, and move toward employment and community integration.
Our socio-professional integration programs offer individualized support through a combination of hands-on work experience, personal guidance, and educational partnerships.
Work skills training
Participants gain practical experience through meaningful work in our professional kitchen under the supervision of our chefs. Training may include food preparation, kitchen maintenance, cleaning, teamwork, customer service, and workplace routines that help build confidence and employability.
Mental health support and community referrals
Participants are supported by our Participant Coordinator, who helps identify individual goals and connects participants with local organizations and community resources based on their specific needs.
Social integration classes (IS)
Offered in partnership with the Centre de services scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys (CSSMB), these classes support participants who require pre-employment social integration support. Topics may include communication, emotional regulation, self-efficacy, interpersonal skills, and goal-setting to support successful community integration.
Socio-professional integration classes (ISP)
Also offered in partnership with the Centre de services scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys (CSSMB), these classes help participants prepare for employment through CV writing, interview preparation, internship placement, and job readiness development. We also collaborate with employers and community partners to support successful transitions into meaningful employment.
