Volunteer with purpose

Volunteers are an essential part of our community. Their time, compassion, and dedication help create a welcoming environment where participants feel supported, valued, and encouraged in their journey toward greater confidence and integration. Whether assisting in the kitchen, supporting activities, serving on our Board of Directors, or sharing their professional skills, our volunteers make a meaningful difference every day and help strengthen our mission of community, dignity, and belonging.

We are also grateful to welcome students completing internships and field placements in areas such as social work, nutrition, and medicine, whose contributions enrich both our programs and our community.

“I had a wonderful experience volunteering. Throughout my involvement, I was welcomed and supported with openness and kindness by the entire team. I leave this experience with immense gratitude for the lessons it taught me about communication, adaptability, open-mindedness, and collaborative work.”

“One of the most helpful organizations to date. When we have a new resident needing to integrate, they find a space for them to volunteer in their kitchen and some of our residents join the PAAS Action program. Most recently, one of our residents was able to acquire gainful employment from a contract sought out by the Executive Director. All this to say, they play an important role in the well-being of our clients, and the well-being of many other people who are looking for pre-employability, volunteer opportunities, and programs geared towards retaining employment. They are a cherished partner.”
